HR Business Partner


West Midlands location


Fixed term contract of 12 Months 


The Role

The successful candidate will be required to support the operations director by providing leadership support on all people aspects of the business plan and provide HR solutions that support the delivery of the commercial performance of the business , as well as day to day activities.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop people strategies that directly support the achievement of business goals
  • Ensure there is a people plan for the executive committee focusing on key business projects / initiatives identifying the HR projects that will support the delivery of these
  • Utilise specialist HR functions to support the delivery of business projects / initiatives pulling on expertise as and when required
  • Use management information, HR stats and feedback to identify opportunities to improve business performance, incorporating action plans into people planning document
  • Participate in / lead working parties / projects that support the delivery of HR initiatives
  • Build honest, open and challenging business relationships which can be leveraged to make things happen
  • Act as the interface between business and HR specialist functions
  • Operate as equal partners with managers whilst maintaining an independent position
  • Provide quality guidance and support to senior team through complex HR issues in order to minimise business risk
  • Develop strong relationships with HR specialist functions, (Resourcing & L&D) articulating business strategy and translating HR implications for them
  • Act as a coach to the management team to support their personal development
  • Support managers to actively manage the careers of their people utilising people review tools and L&D solutions
  • Regularly map population using talent matrix, ensuring individuals managed appropriately based on matrix position
  • Actively develop internal talent pipeline
  • Work with Resourcing to anticipate sourcing needs based on business planning processes, highlighting business critical roles and roles without internal successors
  • Utilise L&D resources to support succession planning by supporting and promoting L&D programmes whilst also utilising team to put together bespoke programmes for individuals
  • Requirement to provide HR cover (phone) on a rota basis
